The perspective research of the humankind, a peculiar characteristic of the Artist's poetics, is presented through the work that depicts a man lying down: through the medium of glass, the volumes through which the figure is presented are taken to extremes, distancing the figurative aspect in order to generate a stylized perspective concept.
The Glass sculpture is manufactured by Glass Master Mario Furlan.
Born in Valona in 1942, Luigi Voltolina arrived in Venice at the age of two, with the repatriation of his family. After graduating in Graphic Arts at the Venice Art Institute, he worked for a brief time at the Toso Brothers Glass Factories in Murano.
Within the factories, he encounters the Murano world for the first time, as well as the prime substance that is handled on the Island: Glass.
