Medusa's head

The Medusa was born from the alchemy created from the encounter between the artistic sensibility of Alessandro Trambaioli, and the creation skills of Mario Furlan, Master Glassmaker.
The Sculpture is no longer the monster that Perseus manages to behead but becomes the perfect face of an enraptured woman: within it there is light, there is life, there is history, there is drama, there is pathos.
The Medusa is alive, her eyes stare at the viewer not to petrify them, but to lure them into her world, into her dimension of light. The piece frees us from our inner chains, to reach a state of ecstasy that brings us closer to our ego.
The snakes that clutch and writhe the Medusa are the representation of our anxieties, of our fears. Having brought them to the surface represents liberation, release, redemption.
The shiny metal becomes a mirror, and by reflecting in it, we are able to grasp who we are, where we are going.

Alessandro Trambaioli

His art is a combination of creativity and the ability to allow divergent thinking. Born in Rovigo in 1973, Alessandro describes his passion and culture through the unmistakable rhythmicity of glass, a versatile and unique material, capable of evoking magic and fierceness.
